The rough surface of the wall of my maternal grandmother’s house at Serian, Sarawak.
Saw some ants carry food to their nest on the rough surface, it’s so hard to take photo of them as they are moving quite fast. Took so many shoots and this is the best I could take.
Location: At my maternal grandmother’s house.
Comments: Preset macro mode. Cropped this section. Sharpened it as the original photo is obviously out of focus.

Before I post today’s Photo Friday’s photo, I would like to announce that I already got a new camera! Hehehe… Just few hours ago. Got a Canon Ixus 80 IS at the PC fair.
Let’s go back to business. Such a beautiful sushi. Japanese is very particular about food presentation. It’s an art! So beautiful that it seemed more like for display than food. This is actually promotion for the month of May at Ten Ichi Japanese Restaurant, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Comments: Preset macro mode. Adjusted a bit of curve and cropped out the important part.

Before I post today’s Photo Friday’s photo, I would like to announce that my Canon DIGITAL IXUS i zoom will no longer be in action as it’s time for it to rest in peace after serving me for 2 and a half year. You can read more here. However, you will still see photos from this camera from time to time because most of my photos are taken with this camera. It had taken more than 82,000 photos and videos.
Let’s go back to today’s photo. Awful… The colour looked awful but it tasted not so bad. A type of vegetarian seaweed flavoured snack from China. In Chinese it’s called “xiao ma hua”. Had this during class few weeks back hehehe… Munching away while other classmates were presenting their works.
Location: In class
Comments: This is one of the last batch of photos taken with my Canon DIGITAL IXUS i zoom. Taken with macro mode, fluorescent lighting, and without flash. Cropped the other area and sharpened the edges using Photoshop.

This is the most magnificant view I’ve ever seen during a flight. It’s breathtaking! The wonderful work of nature. The photo didn’t show you much though, some partial view of the rainforest. It’s so HUGE! It looked like VERY HUGE big green wall with HUGE green floor. This is the first time I see this kind of view when flying to West Malaysia, all these while I never notice because I never had the chance to sit next to the window. I really don’t know how to describe the feeling of seeing it, it felt so GREAT!
How to catch this view when you fly from Kuching to KL? When you board the plane from the front, take seat on your right and next to the window; if you board from the back of the plane(applicable only to Air Asia), it’s the seat on your left next to the window.
Location: Somewhere above West Malaysia’s sky

Keyboard of a computer is the dirtiest place in the office but we usually didn’t bother about it. Imagine all the germs on the keyboard? See how dirty it is? Ewww…
Taken with my phone macro mode and natural lighting. Did it when I was bored waiting for people to come and have their name check on their polling stations.
Location: Outside a Chinese medicine shop at Pending Height.

Do you have brunette hair? I don’t, I dare not to go for this colour. I always go for brownish colour that closer to my orignal hair colour. What if you coloured your hair brunette and the colour isn’t that intense anymore? I found one tip that is quite interesting, using coffee!
1. Set aside 1 cup of coffee. Let it sit for hours if possible.
2. Mix it with your favorite shampoo and apply to your wet hair.
3. Leave it on for 5-10 min. Rinse and style. The coffee will just give you a deeper refreshed looking color.

This roller coaster is called the Cyclone and it’s the earliest roller coaster in Malaysia(if I’m not mistaken). It’s at Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia. The fog came when I took this photo, visibility became quite low but it’s very cooling.

This photo here is showing a type of hell money used by the Buddhists during Qing Ming or during religion based occasions. Not all Buddhists are using this type, they have their own. Each temple has their own hell money for offering. There are also general ones that are widely used. This is from one of the local temples here.
I just simply took this picture last year during Qing Ming at the tomb of my grandparents. Was playing with macro mode and didn’t expect the sun effect to turn out this way.

Living in the city, there’s no such view everyday. Once in a while, you should explore the great outdoors, you will definitely come back fully recharged and refreshed. What you see here is the rainforest and mountains in Kalimantan, Indonesia. We were at the Kalimantan View Point at Borneo Highlands and you can just reach your hand out, you will be in Indonesia, just don’t jump down!! Hahaha… No one will ever find your body there if you jump down.
