The temple at Carpenter Street decorated with colourful lanterns during the Inter-cultural Mooncake Festival 2008 event. I didn’t bring my camera with me so I had to make do with my phone and pretty satisfied with the capability of the phone for being able to take picture in a very low light environment without getting blur and it’s only one time attempt.

Gold and silver paper ingots for the ancestors. These are usually one of the things the Chinese will burn for their ancestors during Qing Ming believing that these can make their ancestors wealthy in hell or heaven.

Since this Saturday will be Qing Ming, this theme comes at the right time.

Qing Ming is the time when the Chinese will visit their ancestors’ graves to clean and pay respect.

We won’t be going to the graveyard tomorrow, we went on last Saturday. This is one of the flowers we brought there to be placed on the tomb of my grandfather and grandmother.

This is called chai kueh, many Chinese in Kuching like to have this as breakfast. It’s popular among the Hakka community here but others love it too. It’s not easy to find good one, the skin and the fillings are very important, if one screwed up, the whole chai kueh will fail.

This is ordered by my friend after our photo shoot session at Lake Park. It’s our late breakfast.

Direct translation(just for fun ;p):
chai = vegetable
kueh = cake

If you are going to say vegetable cake, I don’t think anyone knows what you are talking about ;p

Keyboard of a computer is the dirtiest place in the office but we usually didn’t bother about it. Imagine all the germs on the keyboard? See how dirty it is?
