Sushi King With My Family

Posted on February 13, 2008February 13, 2008 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Sushi King With My Family

This happened like somewhere last month. Was supposed to post it few days before the grand opening but decided against it and dragged till today. Didn’t know where to eat and I suggested that we had lunch at Sushi King, Boulevard Mall since I have the Sushi King card and could get 10% discount.

Since my parents don’t like seaweed, don’t like raw fish, so I had to order the set meals for them. The picture looked really nice and big portion, I decided to ordered 3 set meals for the 4 of us.

Left: Sakana Black Pepper(RM15.90), Deep fried dory fish in black pepper sauce with mixed vegetables, served with egg custard, miso soup, steamed rice and ice cream. πŸ™ GOSH! The portion, the taste and the look is so disappointing! I can get better set meal at other Japanese restaurants in Kuching with this kind of price. I was even told my parents that the set meal is worth it judging from my first time there *CUSS* Then It came out like this!

Right: Another disappointment, Beef Yakiniku(RM18.90), Pan fried beef in BBQ sauce with mixed vegetables, served with egg custard, miso soup, steamed rice and ice cream. Pathetic!!! Only few slices of beef!!! I counted and there’re less than 10 pieces! Same thing, the portion, the taste and the look is so disappointing.

The third set, I ordered Cold Soba Set(RM17.90), this set is OK, not disappointing as I ordered it on my first visit. However, my parents and bro didn’t like it, said that it’s tasteless hahaha… Also took one plate of baby octopus from the kaiten which is RM6 per plate.

The total spent was RM61+(after discount), service tax is 10%, GST is 5%. In other word, the card is for service tax discount *LOL* I felt so bad for bringing my parents there and spent so much on a lunch(they paid of course :P) that gave them bad impression -.-‘ They said no more second time but to make me feel good, they said that at least they can tell their friends that they had tried Sushi King before and they don’t like it! Hahaha… However my dad said that it’s worth it only if you know how to eat the stuff on the kaiten which they don’t ;p hahaha…

Guess What?!?!!? My bro even asked my dad to buy some of the sushi home for dinner on the 4th day of CNY *lol* Only bought about RM12, not much… Just to eat for fun hahaha…

My friends are like, “Where to eat”, they will directly say “sushi king” *LOL* Pizza Ria used to be a place that we got our pizza before Pizza Hut came. Hahaha… I don’t remember the taste anymore. asfor Japanese restaurant, I didn’t go to these two yet because I don’t think I cna afford it… πŸ˜› Hahaha… Sushi King is much cheaper if you want to eat those kaiten sushi.

Why do you want to dig that far?
