I found out about this Big Apple Donuts promotion from a forum on Thursday night. Didn’t really bother about it until I saw it in the newspapers on Friday morning. 52% discount!! WAH! Should go get it! Original price is RM27 for a dozen, during the promo, it’s only RM13 for a dozen.
I told my brother and asked him to go with me on Saturday morning. We planned to leave from home at around 9.30am since Big Apple Donuts only opened at 10am. I thought the queue shouldn’t be too long by the time we reach.
Who knows… We reached there at slightly after 10am, we got a shock. The queue almost reached the entrance of Ta Kiong. When we reached we had to queue right in front of the kiosk selling the purifier thing. Luckily went there early but not early enough to get those fancier donuts with fruits on them.
Almost 2 hours wait, it was our turn, almost all the trays were empty. There were only 5 types left and I decided to wait since I want 12 different type of donuts. I paid and waited. They told me it would be quite long to wait but I said it’s all right, I have the time hahaha… I waited for few more minutes and finally one box was filled with a dozen donuts.
Those who were in front of the queue were so lucky! They got so many to choose and got those fancy fancy ones. Should have go there earlier ;p
In fact I had made a list at home earlier on what I wanted but from the list, 12 of them, I only got 3 or 4 of them that I had in the list. The rest were not available because they couldn’t fill up all the trays. Could only choose whatever were there. Oh well… Better than nothing.
Now… I had donuts as my snacks, for breakfast, for desserts, for lunch and dinner since yesterday *LOL* Finally finished it already. No more donuts for me until next promotion(if there is any but not this year… I have enough of donuts for now ;p).
Oh… This is my first time queuing up for food for 2 hours+
I guess I did two craziest things in my life in just one day, yesterday. Both were equally crazy, at least for me.

ahhh.. long queue.. i am thankful i skipped the thing.
Ahhh.. One of the crazy moments. I remembered I queued 4 hours for 2 dozen of Krispy Kreme when it first opened in Melbourne. That on drive thru.. If I were to queue in person, could have been longer! One hour drive there, 4 hours queue, another hour drive home… I won’t do these crazy things anymore.. Especially for 2 dozen of donuts..
cyril, yea… Since I was there already I couldn’t back out, parking wasn’t free, impossible I leave just after parking for few minutes, since I have the time to spare so no harm ;p
patrick, hahaha… wah then you must have been sitting in your car burning fuel? Jiat lat.. what you did was crazier hahaha… I don’t think I’ll do that.
If not because the parking isn’t free at tHe Spring, I would be leaving after I see the line.
