So… So… Vain (2)

Posted on November 21, 2008November 21, 2008 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on So… So… Vain (2)

Remember these photos? Don’t worry, no more fake engagement ;p

Actually I just want to share about the makeup I used in this photo. For the first time I sort of utilized so many of my Everyday Minerals collection. All these photos were taken when I got back from class which earlier on joined the launch of Minex 100% Trade-in program. My face was very oily and I bloated the oil before I took the photos playing with my “1-carat diamond” ring. ;p

I notice that my face could get very oily faster when using mineral foundation compare to the conventional foundation.

All the photos you see here are not touched up except adjusted the curves a bit.

These were what I used and it took me about half hour. Spending most time in concealing my undereyes.

Foundation: Everyday Minerals Neutral
Eyeshadow: Benefit r.s.v.p
Mascara: Maybelline Volum’ Express Hypercurl
Undereye concealers: Everyday Minerals Abbott’s Perk me Up, layered with Everyday Minerals foundation Fawn, then layered again with Everyday Minerals Golden Medium, and lastly Maybelline Angelift Foundation. Hehehe… Scary eh? That’s because I overdid the concealing, there’s too much minerals on the brush too ;p Still trying to handle those minerals. Ended up with many obvious fine lines and I had to use my moisturiser to “dilute” them and topped with Maybelline Angelift Foundation.
Blusher: In2It
Lips: Lipice Fruity Lipbalm and Sheer Colour.

That’s all. Hmm… I should do this whenever I dolled myself up, it’s kinda fun hehehe… Since I seldom dolled myself up .

Nice! So many concealers! *LOL* You can try the Biore sunblock I reviewed some time ago to control oil… plus it has SPF, so that’s good stuff too.

What do you think of the make up range for Everyday Minerals? I went to their website and found their colour range quite pretty. Am not too keen on buying make-up here in UK, for some reason their hair care and skin care products are a lot better than their make up range. I still prefer the make up that I buy from Malaysia and they are not expensive (In To It, Silky Girl etc). The last time I went back I stocked up my eyeshadows like gilerr… hehe.

miracle8, hmm… many people say good things about it. For now I’m only using foundations and concealers. The foundation got my face oily faster, same goes to my sis who is using it in UK. So the only way to fix it is to use some oil control product first before applying. Good or not I’m not so sure also, all I know is cheap and serve the purpose hehehe… All these are samples. They are just like other makeup to me, don’t feel much diferent except it took longer time to apply compare to conventional ones. If I’m rushing, then I’ll just go back to my usual makeup. I do recommend it though since the samples are free, you just need to pay postage which is less than USD5. Quite worth it, even though it’s small in size but it will last you a long time and mineral foundation is not easily spoilt(breading bacteria) like the conventional ones.

The makeup there is indeed expensive, my sis got most of the makeup there as free gifts and samples ;p

Ann, don’t worry ;p don’t have to envy me as that’s just makeup effect and the angle of the photo. I notice that Benefit eye shadow actually have the effect of making my eyes bigger, really strange hehehe… Don’t know why. Maybe it’s the way it reflects the light. I notice that other eye makeup never give me such effect even in the photo.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
