Photo Hunt: Furry

Since it’s the 6th day of Lunar New Year, I’ll share a photo that is related to this festival even though this is actually taken at a bridal fashion show. The model is wearing sequined cheongsam with furry shawl.

What is cheongsam? According to wikipedia:

The cheongsam is a body-hugging (modified in Shanghai) one-piece Chinese dress for women; the male version is the changshan. It is known in Chinese as the qípáo (旗袍), qípáor (旗袍儿), Wade-Giles ch’i-p’ao, and is also known in English as a mandarin gown. The stylish and often tight-fitting cheongsam or qipao (chipao) that is most often associated with today was created in the 1920s in Shanghai and was made fashionable by socialites and upperclass women.

    There was once a time that Cheongsam was the in thing in fashion here in the Philippines. Personally, I loved how the neckline looked like.

    FamiliaKhuletz, I like it too but I don’t really like to wear it, very hard to move around and too skinny won’t look nice in it.

    I like the cheongsam so much but too bad i can’t wear it because my bone structure too big hahhaha so if i wear it will look like giant. Hopefully i can wear it am trying ehhehehe
